Remiendos

Remiendos continues my series Ways to Endure, where I explored the emotional states that emerge through experiences of rupture and change.

In Remiendos, this investigation expands through a process rooted in fragmentation itself. The works are constructed from shattered porcelain boxes—pieces that burst apart in the kiln and whose destruction I chose to embrace rather than conceal. Reassembled into new collage-like compositions, these fragments shift from remnants of failure into sites of reconstruction. Through this process, Remiendos reflects on rupture not as an end point, but as a space where new forms, meanings, and possibilities can emerge.
